FWCCI President Attends Meeting in Baku – Business & Finance
FAISALABAD: Faisalabad Women’s Chamber and Industry (FWCCI) mainly focuses on attracting foreign direct investment, joint ventures, technology transfer, buyout agreements for women-led businesses and embassy from Pakistan to Baku-Azerbaijan will help support FWCCI women entrepreneurs in this area. context, said Ms. Nighat Shahid, President of the FWCCI.
She was speaking to the media after attending a reception meeting with HE Bilal Hayee, Pakistan’s Ambassador to Azerbaijan in Baku. She said she told the Ambassador that she was already working with different Central Asian republics like Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan and advanced economies like Italy, UK, Turkey and neighboring countries like Afghanistan, Iran, Central Asian countries like Indonesia, Malaysia to attract foreign direct investment in businesses run by women in Faisalabad. She said she told the Ambassador that we could have regular contact with potential investors and importers of Pakistani products such as textiles, pharmaceuticals, furniture, rice and other items in Baku-Azerbaijan, advised by the Embassy of Pakistan in Baku.
She said that during the meeting she offered to organize the exhibition of one country in Baku, a delegation of women from Baku to visit the FWCCI.
