Iran offers condolences to Pakistan and Bangladesh over deadly incidents
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani said on Tuesday that the Islamic Republic of Iran expresses its sympathy to the government, people and military of Pakistan, especially the families of those killed in a recent army helicopter crash.
On Monday, a helicopter belonging to the Pakistan Air Force crashed while on a night mission in the southwest of the country, killing all six people on board.
This is the second time in two months that a military helicopter has crashed in Pakistan.
On August 1, 2022, a military helicopter carrying senior officials, including a commander from Balochistan, disappeared while surveying flood-ravaged areas of the province; the accident was later confirmed.
Also in a separate message, the Iranian spokesperson expressed condolences to Bangladesh over the deaths of at least 61 people who lost their lives following the sinking of an overcrowded ferry carrying Hindu worshipers in northern Bangladesh. .
