Iran’s CBI reveals data on GDP value in services sector

BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 25. The gross domestic product (GDP) value of Iran’s service sector (trade, catering, transport, communication, monetary and financial institutions, professional and private, public, etc.) amounted to 6 quadrillion rials (approximately 143 billion dollars), during the first nine months of the current Iranian year (from March 21 to December 21, 2021), compared to the same period of last Iranian year, Trend reports via Central Bank statistics of Iran (CBI).
According to statistics, the value of GDP in the service sector increased by 6.5% compared to the same period last year.
Thus, the value of GDP in the service sector was about 5.63 quadrillion rials (about $134 billion) during the same period last year in Iran.
Moreover, the service sector’s share in Iran’s gross domestic product was 46.3% in 9 months, according to the report.
As noted, the value of Iran’s GDP (including crude oil) stood at 11 quadrillion rials (about $263 billion) in the first nine months of the current Iranian year. This is an increase of 4.1% compared to the same period last year in Iran. Thus, the figure stood at 10.6 quadrillion rials (about 253 billion dollars) during the same period last year in Iran.
