Launch of Tehran-Caracas direct flight valuable measure

On Monday, Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier General Mohammad-Reza Gharaei Ashtiani met and spoke with Ramón Velásquez, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Water and Air Transport and President of Venezuelan airline Conviasa.

During this meeting, the Iranian Minister of Defense described the relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela as strategic, referring to the political, economic and defense commonalities of Iran and Venezuela, to the political will of the leaders of the two countries, and the common positions of the two countries in the face of global arrogance.

Affirming that the authorities of the two parties are determined to broaden and deepen the relations between the two countries, he considered that the launch of a direct flight between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Republic of Venezuela is an important and valuable measure. .

Referring to Nicolás Maduro’s recent visit to Tehran, Ashtiani called for lasting agreements between the two countries in various fields such as energy, mining, petroleum, power plants, science and technology , defense, transport, etc.

Earlier on Sunday, Venezuela’s transport minister attended the inaugural ceremony for the launch of a direct flight between Tehran and Caracas and met with Iran’s vice president for science and technology.

According to the report, the first scheduled passenger flight of Venezuela Airlines landed at Imam Khomeini Airport City at 1:00 p.m. Sunday and this flight will depart Imam Khomeini Airport City for Caracas at 2:45 a.m. Tuesday this week.
