“Lift Your Mood” on depression published in Persian

TEHRAN – Robert E. Wubbolding’s book, âA Choice Theory Psychology Guide to Depression: Lift Your Mood,â has been published in Persian.
Translated into Persian by Abuzar Golvarz, the book was published by Arjmand Publications.
The book targets people with depression while providing practical methods for dealing with hopelessness, emotional pain, or indecisive moods.
Wubbolding is a world-renowned teacher, author, and practitioner in reality therapy and director of the Center for Reality Therapy in Cincinnati, Ohio.
In an introduction to the book, he wrote: âDo you, your family or your friends feel like you are ‘in the trash’? Have you ever used even more graphic or even indescribable expressions to describe your current situation? “
âIf so, you will find help and encouragement in this book using the techniques and suggestions in these pages.
“If it only happens to one person, I would know my time and effort are worth it.”
The book provides usable ideas for those who fall into occasional depressive states of discouragement or pessimism, and depending on the introduction, the trigger for a better choice or more appropriate path is what will lead to successful therapy.
He outlines the five needs based on choice theory in his book, and explains the WDEP system which includes wants, action, assessment and planning as part of his reality therapy, where âwantsâ of the depressed individual are explored before determining what they “do” to achieve those “desires”.
Therefore, a practical action plan is proposed after evaluating the desires and actions.
