Pak-Iran cycling rally welcomed to DG Khan – Journal

DERA GHAZI KHAN: The Pak-Iran Friendship Bike Rally featuring 13 bikers arrived here from Lahore on Saturday.
The 13 Pakistani bikers, including a woman, started their journey from Lahore two days ago and will return to the capital of Punjab after making a 20-day trip to Tehran, Iran.
The rally organized with the slogan “Yar-i-Man Iran” under the chairmanship of Mukarram Khan Tareen, was organized by the Cross Route Club International, involved in the promotion of bicycle tourism in Pakistan.
Humayun Zafar Jaskani of Bikers Club Dera Ghazi Khan and others also greeted the bikers, including Aziz Al Hassan, Faisal Mushtaq, DM Jameel, Zeeshan Ahmed, Tayyab Jawad, Mirza Khurram, Khurram Hafeez, Mudassar and Altaf Rehman.
The purpose of the rally is to send a message to the world that Pakistan is a peaceful country. BMP Commander Ikram Malik gave a reception to rally participants.
Earlier, as the cycling rally arrived here, it had been received by Deputy Commissioner Nabil Ahmed.
Later, a function was also organized in honor of the bikers on the lines of the military border police. AC Nabil Ahmed has said on the occasion that the bikers travel abroad as Pakistani ambassadors and will not only promote tourism in the country, but also its image abroad. Singers Faisal Mushtaq and Junaid performed at the reception, in addition to a traditional Jhumar dance performance.
