(Reuters) – Here are some early global reactions to Ebrahim Raisi’s election as Iranian president. Raisi, 60, is a hard-line judge loyal to Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and subject to US sanctions for alleged human rights violations.

Putin congratulated Raisi and expressed his hopes for the “further development of constructive bilateral cooperation,” according to the RIA news agency, citing a press secretary at the Russian embassy in Tehran.
