Raisi emphasizes importing vaccines as soon as possible
TEHRAN – Speaking at the national coronavirus headquarters meeting on Saturday evening, Iranian President Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi said the vaccine import process should not be delayed.
In another part of his speech, the president thanked the public, guilds, bereavement groups and law enforcement for the implementation of the recent decision by the national coronavirus headquarters, saying: “According to the report of the police and the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development, 70 to 80% of this plan was successful.
“In applying these restrictions and blockages, you have to make sure that people’s businesses don’t have problems,” Raisi said.
Referring to the report of the Governor of Fars Province on the obstacles to importing vaccines, the President stressed that the import of vaccines should not be delayed and that all opportunities should be used to import vaccines.
“The possibility of importing vaccines by the private sector in the standards of the Ministry of Health should be facilitated,” he said.
The president stressed the need to vaccinate prisoners, saying: “For some prisoners who have not been vaccinated, steps should be taken sooner to speed up the vaccination process, while the attorney general should pursue the case if prisoners can use their leave as much as possible. . “
Stressing the importance of border quarantine, especially at the eastern borders of the country, Raisi said: “The governors of the border provinces should immediately take the necessary measures in this regard to create better management and superiority in border control. “.
Appreciating the efforts of all provinces, especially universities of medical sciences and medical personnel, Raisi said he hopes different measures will be taken in the production and import of vaccines, as well as the acceleration of vaccination. so that people’s lives get back to normal. .
Emphasizing that no delay in importing valid vaccines is acceptable, Raisi added, “The possible problems that have caused a slowdown in the importation of vaccines should be examined and if there is a problem, it should be considered. be resolved immediately.
Referring to the announcement of the readiness of the Ministry of Roads, the President stressed: “The import of vaccines should be done continuously without transport restrictions.
