Security of interdependent humans: Iranian President – political today
In separate messages to the leaders of Christian countries, the Iranian president congratulated them on the anniversary of Jesus Christ and the start of the new year.
Here is the text of his message:
“In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
I would like to sincerely congratulate you on the anniversary of the birth of the Prophet of Endurance and Peace, Jesus Christ, and the beginning of the year 2022.
The anniversary of Jesus Christ’s birthday is dear and happy for the Iranian people; And he is no less respected by Muslims than by Christians. He is the embodiment of resistance against oppressors and the inspiration for freedom in the fight against dictators. This great prophet and his pure mother are mentioned several times in the Koran; Including:
“And on the day of judgment, Allah will say: ‘O Jesus, son of Mary! Remember My favor over you and your mother: how I supported you with the Holy Spirit so that you spoke to people in your childhood and into adulthood. How I taught you to write, wisdom, Torah and the Gospel ”(Al-Ma’idah, verse 110)
Global developments, in particular the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, have shown that the security and fate of human beings are interdependent. The cooperation of countries in this crisis, especially in the field of immunization, against the reluctance of some governments to send essential items in the field of health and the sanctions of nations by them, has clearly shown that a decent international system urgently needs rationality, justice and spirituality.
I hope that in this new year, building on the moral virtues of the Abrahamic religions and in the light of the joint efforts of governments, the suffering and trials will disappear from the world, the stability and resistance of nations will be fruitful and according to the gospel and the promise of Christ, divine providence concerning that the righteous servants of God reign on the earth, and that mankind prospers.
Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi
President of the Islamic Republic of Iran “
