Tehran ready to resume talks with Kuwait on Arash field

According to Al-Khaleej Online, Mohammad Irani, the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Kuwait, said during an iftar ceremony hosted by the Iranian Embassy on the occasion of International Quds Day that Iran is ready to resume talks with Kuwait on Arash/al-Durra, which is a common gas field between Iran, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia.
He said Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian had recently consulted his Kuwaiti counterpart, Sheikh Ahmed Nasser Al-Sabah, on the matter by telephone.
Irani also said that the official spokesperson for the Iranian Foreign Ministry also announced that Iran was ready to resume talks with Kuwait on the issue.
The Iranian ambassador also said that bilateral relations between Iran and Kuwait are at the highest level and that this positive atmosphere lays the groundwork for discussion and consultation regarding the Arash/al- Durra and the search for a solution.
Mohammad Irani said there were bilateral preparations between Iran and Kuwait for cooperation in various fields.
He also announced that Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian will pay a visit to Kuwait, the exact date of which he hopes will be announced.
It should be noted that Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh called a deal between Kuwait and Saudi Arabia over the Arash gas field illegal and said the deal was frowned upon. by Tehran.
