Tehran shares end the week higher

Tehran’s equity market ended the trading week on Wednesday slightly higher amid retail investors’ reluctance to trade.
Tehran Stock Exchange’s main index, TEDPIX, gained 4,911.37 points or 0.32% for the day to end at 1,520,298.
Small caps outperformed, pushing the TSE’s equally weighted index up more than 0.5%.
Retail trade plunged 11% on the previous session to 34.44 trillion rials ($111 million).
About 9.06 billion shares valued at 66.71 trillion rials ($230.04 million) changed hands at TSE on Wednesday.
Trading on TSE and the junior equity exchange Iran Fara Bourse begins on Saturday and ends on Wednesday.
Zar Spring Manufacturing Company was the big winner, as its shares rose 8.96% to 4,037 rials per share.
Khorasan Sabet Sugar Company suffered the biggest loss among all TSE-listed companies and fell 5.36% to 3,124 rials per share.
Mines and Metals Development Investment Company contributed the most to the benchmark’s fall, followed by Tabriz Oil Refining Company, Alborz Insurance Company and Osve Pharmaceutical Company.
The Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Lines Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark, followed by the Social Security Investment Company, the Iranian National Copper Industries Company and the Jam Polypropylene.

IFX up 0.5%

Iran’s Fara stock exchange’s main index, IFX, gained 108.07 points or 0.52% to close at 20,946 on Wednesday.
About 2.56 billion shares and securities worth 75.23 trillion rials ($259.4 million) were traded on the junior stock exchange for the day.
Kerman Province Development Investment Company had the most shares traded, with 167.71 million of its shares worth 151.7 billion rials ($523,100) traded.
Damavand Power Generation Company, General Mechanic Company, Ghiam Isfahan Agricultural and Livestock Company and MAPNA Asaluyeh Power Generation Company had the most negative impact on IFX.
Pasargad Insurance Company gave IFX the biggest boost, followed by Zagros Petrochemical Company, Shahid Tondgooyan Petrochemical Company and Daana Pharmaceutical Company.
