In September 2020, Apple TV+ premiered the Israeli spy television series, Tehran. israeli director Daniel Syrkin (The Gordin Cell) is directing all eight episodes of Season 1. Season 2 premiered May 6, 2022 on Apple TV+.
Season 1 of Tehran introduced viewers to Jewish Mossad agent Tamar Rabinyan (Sultan Lvl), who goes undercover to Tehran, Iran, to hack into Iran’s defense system and disable a nuclear reactor. When the mission goes wrong, she finds herself stuck in Iran, her native country, with a false identity that she must keep if she wants to survive. As she pursues the mission with a plan B, she connects with her homeland and the local freedom fighters. All the while, the head of the Revolutionary Guards’ investigations, Faraz Kamali (Shaun Toub) knows there’s a spy in Iran, and he’s determined to hunt her down.
Season 2 continues Tamar’s story as she still can’t escape Iran, Faraz is still after her and her mission failed. However, all hope is not lost because Marjan Montazeri (Glenn Close) makes an offer to Tamar: agree to carry out a new mission, and Montazeri’s resources will help Tamar get out of the country. Tamar’s lover and partner, Milad (Shervin Alenabi), is determined to find them on their own outside of Iran, driving a rift between him and Tamar.

For an English adaptation of false flagdiscover the 2022 British thriller series from Apple TV+, Suspicion. The series was created by Rob Williams (The victim).
Suspicion follows a similar plot in which five British citizens (Kunal Nayyar, George Campbell, Elizabeth Henstridge, Elyes Gabeland Tom Rhys Harries) are accused of kidnapping Leo Newman (Gerran Howell), who is the son of the powerful American Katherine Newman (Uma Thurman). Those accused of the crime realize that all five of them were in New York City at the time of Leo’s kidnapping, and all five claim to be innocent despite the serious charges against them. The suspects must unite as the world comes to find them guilty simply by accusation, ruining their personal and professional lives.

Queen Sono (2020)
Netflix’s first South African original series premiered in 2020, introducing audiences Queen Sono. South African Tswana comedian Kagiso Lediga created, produces and helps direct the series.

She’s a reckless and smart spy who accomplishes her missions, while balancing a messy personal life. The series is based on the real-life story of Mossad agent Eli Cohen and the 1969 book The spy from Israel (The spy who came from Israel) written by Urin Dan and Yeshayahu Ben Porat. israeli director Gideon Raff creates and directs the show.
The six-episode series follows Eli Cohen (Sacha Baron Cohen) as he becomes Israel’s top spy in Syria. Adopting a new identity as Kamel Amin Thaabet, he infiltrated Syrian society, became Deputy Defense Minister and even won the trust and friendship of future Syrian President Amin al-Hafiz (Walid Zuaiter). Unfortunately, the long-term undercover mission takes its toll on Eli, as he begins to forget where his true identity ends and Kamel’s identity begins, and his family in Israel begins to suffer in his absence.

As officers close in on Ferry and his wife, Danielle Bouwman (Elise Schaap), the mission oscillates between barely succeeding in exposing the two agents and potentially granting them both brutal death sentences.
