In order to address the reluctance of industry and lenders to do business through Iran’s Chabahar Port, the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways would facilitate the support of Indian banks to follow the processes, senior officials told Business Standard. The industry’s hesitation stems from the fact that Iran faces international sanctions.
