“The Story of Good”, a collection of stories for children and teenagers written by Mohsen Hejri and published by Mehrak Publications, includes stories from the lives of Imams and Prophets. Each book describes the life of one of these nobles. “The Light of Worship” is one of the books in this collection which tells the story of Ali ibn Hussein (AS), also known as Imam Sajjad (AS).

Mohsen Hejri wrote the story of Imam Sajjad in a unique and effective way. He tried to tell the story in a way that stands out from the clichés children and teenagers face in schools.

* How long did it take you to complete this book? What or who did you get your data from?

The research took a long time and I studied a variety of sources because relying on only a few sources could lead to errors and damage. I believe that three axes should be examined when researching historical figures: one, the achievements and lives of individuals, two, the surviving words or hadiths of them, and three, the opinions of others on the lives of these figures. . The first of these three factors, in my opinion, is the most important.

* How do you think these books might affect the public?

Although this is a difficult question to answer, I think we are in a time when the new generation is facing many problems in finding the truth about religion, and somehow they are facing to many clichés and she is forced to follow religion. As a result, these books have a smaller audience and are less popular than other literary genres in the current situation.

* In your opinion, which characteristic of Imam Sajjad (AS) is the most important?

I learned a lot from him throughout two distinct phases of his life. The first is that Imam Sajjad (as) is the sole survivor of the Karbala incident, which is associated with much grief. The second is that he lived during one of the most turbulent times in the history of early Islam, and during this time he wrote manuscripts which later became known as Sahifieh Sajjadieh.

* Do you believe that by creating this book, you have enabled teenagers to better understand the personality of Imam Sajjad (AS)?

Well, I tried to write in a very realistic way that would be more believable. Review analysis and audience feedback are needed to determine the effectiveness of such a method, and we cannot say for sure as there has been no feedback yet.

* In your opinion, what role do parents play in children’s literature?

I think the attitude of parents towards children’s literature should change, because children and teenagers are very impressive. Parents should be aware that we cannot expect big changes in the world of literature as long as textbooks and exams take priority.
