TV News: Tehran, Girl, Offer, Jellystone, Loki
Glenn Close is scheduled to star in the second season of the original “Tehran” spy thriller series on the Apple TV + service. Niv Sultan, Shaun Toub and Shervin Alenabi are also on the bill.
The series follows Mossad agent Tamar Rabinyan as she infiltrates a dangerous mission in Tehran. Close will play Marjan Montazeri, a Briton living in the Iranian city. [Source: THR]
The first episode of the reboot of “Gossip Girl” will air on The CW on July 9, the day after its debut on HBO Max. Apparently, there are currently no plans for the broadcaster to air more than the first episode.

Juno Temple (“Palmer”, “Ted Lasso”) will join Miles Teller in the Paramount + limited series “The Offer” which deals with the behind-the-scenes struggles to make “The Godfather.” Temple plays Bettye McCartt, an assistant to Teller’s producer Al Ruddy and a powerhouse in her own right. HBO Max has released a trailer for “Jellystone,” a new animated comedy series that sees the return of classic Hanna-Barbera characters Yogi Bear, Boo Boo and Cindy. Directed by acclaimed showrunner and executive producer CH Greenblatt, this reinvents today’s beloved characters. The first season kicks off on July 29.
A new featurette has been released regarding Sophia Di Martino’s “Sylvie” character in Marvel Studios’ “Loki”. The clip addresses her character and teases what will happen in the remaining three episodes, including the fate of the sacred timeline.
