Washington Post report on student debt highlights CT woman’s struggle

A recent Washington Post article states that “nearly 45 million people … hold $ 1.7 trillion in education loans in the United States.”

Among those people is Erin Corbett, 43, an educator in Bloomfield, Connecticut. Corbett has been highlighted in a series of vignettes that paint a human picture of the debt crisis in this country.

“I incurred most of my debt from a doctoral program at the University of Pennsylvania. There had never been any intention of pursuing this degree.
